Location: Indio Maiz Nature Reserve, Rio San Juan
Event: There is currently a large forest fire in the Indio Maiz Nature Reserve in the Rio San Juan Department. The Government of Nicaragua has issued a Yellow Alert for the area and is currently working to contain the fire.

• Monitor local media for information.
• Avoid travel to the affected area until the Government of Nicaragua has the fire under control.
