U.S. Government Supports Youth Techology and Education Forum in the Caribbean Coast

Deputy Chief of Mission, Chad Cummins inaugurated the “Tecnología y Educación: acceso, integración y calidad” Forum in Bluefields. The forum’s main objective is to help Caribbean youth to gain skills and knowledge as they enter the labor force. José Adan Aguerri, president of COSEP was also present.

Project “Aprendo y Emprendo,” present at the Forum, is financed by the U.S. Government with $9.7 million. The project’s main goals are to bring technical education centers closer to private enterprise, and to motivate Caribbean youth to pursue technical careers and stay away from illicit activities.
