Scheduling an Appointment FAQs

Routine services such as passport, notarial and reports of birth abroad require an appointment. For general information and emergencies regarding American Citizen Services do not require an appointment, we are open Mon-Fri between 1-3 p.m. Note: The U.S. Embassy in Managua can be reached 24/7 at 011-505-2252-7100.  For emergencies (deaths, arrests, etc.) after hours, U.S. citizens can call this phone number and ask for the Embassy Duty Officer.

You can schedule your appointment here.

The confirmation sheet allows you to enter the Embassy on the day of your appointment. The password allows you to access your appointment record to make any necessary changes prior to your appointment. Be sure to bring your passport and your confirmation. You may be required to provide this information should you need to schedule another appointment. However, if you were unable to print the confirmation sheet, you should still be on the list and allowed entry on the day of your appointment.
