The Embassy of the United States in Managua, Nicaragua has the following Procurement and Contracting needs:

The Embassy of the United States in ManaguaNicaragua, has a requirement for a firm to provide maintenance, repair, and replacement services on an existing softball field, to upgrade it into a multipurpose field.  This work will consist of Refurbishing of one Multipurpose Field, at the Embassy Managua compoundRequired work will include 1) demolition, earthworks, irrigation, and drainage; and 2) electrical works, light poles, underground conduits and cables installation, new grass turf, structures, new seats, and fence.

An Official Notice has been published on SAM.gov.  Find as “Notice ID: 19NU7023R0002: Maintenance, repair, and replacement services on an existing softball field, to upgrade it into a multi-purpose field.” Further instructions are shown on the Notice.

La Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Managua, Nicaragua, tiene un requerimiento de una empresa constructora para brindar servicios de mantenimiento, reparación y reemplazo en un campo de softbol existente, para convertirlo en un campo multi-propósito. Esta obra consistirá en la Rehabilitación de una Cancha Multipropósito en el recinto de la Embajada de Managua. El trabajo requerido incluirá: 1) demolición, movimiento de tierras, riego y drenaje; y 2) obras eléctricas, postes de luz, instalación de conductos y cables subterráneos, césped nuevo, estructuras, asientos nuevos y cerco o valla.

Call for Architectural and Engineering Qualifications

Ref: PR11623829 – A&E Roof Survey, Assessment, Report, and Design Services

The Embassy of the United States (U.S.) in Managua is interested in obtaining Engineering Qualifications from local individuals, to provide A&E Services to investigate the condition of roof, building envelope & associated waterproofing systems on an existing U.S. Embassy building.

The Architect & Engineer shall provide all professional building envelope and waterproofing services that include but are not limited to: architectural, structural, rooftop mechanical, electrical, and/or lightening protection, and any other services to meet the project’s requirements.

Firms or individuals responding to this announcement on or before the closing date will be considered for selection using the following minimum evaluation criteria in descending order of importance:

  • Relevant, professional qualifications in the type of work required in this solicitation, for projects having a significant construction value in the past three years;
  • Demonstrated formal education and experience in Civil/Structural Engineering design and construction:
    – Professional Civil Engineer, with specialization in civil structure. Local Authority license required.
    – Five years minimum of progressive experience as a professional Engineer participating in construction supervision, planning, design, and reviewing plans for structures. These structures include, but are not limited to, small buildings, covered parking areas and any facilities made of concrete, steel, or masonry.
    – Be able to conduct/interpret seismic and geotechnical studies.
    – Be able to submit all reports in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated success on similar projects in terms of quality of work and compliance with performance schedules, cost/schedule controls and program/project management techniques;
  • Although previous or ongoing performance of a similar U.S. Government contract is not required for firms responding to this solicitation, if such contracts have been performed, the offeror must have performed at a satisfactory level;

Call for Architectural and Engineering Qualifications

Ref: PR11451517 – A&E Design Services: E-Scooter/E-Bike Charging Stations FAC

The Embassy of the United States (U.S.) in Managua is interested in obtaining Engineering Qualifications from local individuals, to provide Electrical & Civil Engineering services for the structural design for installation of two electrical charging station shelters for E-bikes and E-scooters on the U.S. Embassy Compound.

Engineers are to provide a rational structural and electrical design of the electrical charging station shelters and the verification of the structural and electrical safety of the whole structures.

This includes the structural designs to protect the charging stations from the weather elements to include a concrete foundation and the electrical design loads that accommodate the electrical charging stations, along with the verification of the structural safety of the whole structure in accordance with wind and seismic load intensities established in the National Building Code of Nicaragua RNC-07, the National Electrical Codes 2020 (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association 70 (NFPA 70)

  • Although previous or ongoing performance of a similar U.S. Government contract is not required for firms responding to this solicitation, if such contracts have been performed, the offeror must have performed at a satisfactory level;
