About the Evaluation Process

Applicants will receive correspondence for testing processes and/or interviews via email from ERA; please be sure to provide a correct email address and phone number.

The Human Resources Office is unable to acknowledge the receipt of your documents due to the high volume of applications received. The United States Embassy in Managua offers a multicultural work environment, and we serve diverse team members around the world. For this reason, the level of English and Spanish required varies between positions according to duties and responsibilities. This ability may be tested in the process.

All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications before you can begin work with the Embassy. Pre-employment clearance checks can take around three or four months to complete, therefore we would always recommend not handing in your notice to your current employer before you have received full clearances.

The U.S. Mission in Nicaragua provides equal opportunity and fair and equitable treatment in employment to all people without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, political affiliation, marital status or sexual orientation.
