Event: There are many reports about increasing COVID cases in Nicaraguan hospitals and communities, and a new wave is possibly approaching. We urge you to protect yourself and your family by remaining vigilant and following public health guidelines to avoid risk of infection.
We can slow the spread of COVID-19. Take the following steps to protect yourself and others:
- Stay home if you can.
- Wear a mask.
- Stay 6 feet apart. Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.
- Wash your hands.
- Get vaccinated when it’s available to you.
The Government of Nicaragua is currently offering vaccination to residents of Nicaragua and will continue to prioritize individuals who are in appropriate age groups or at risk of serious illness. Proof of residency consists of your Nicaraguan cedula. For more information, contact your local health authorities.
