Event: The Nicaraguan government has scheduled a national drill for natural disasters for 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 14, 2018. The drill may affect the normal operations of public institutions such as MINREX, MAGFOR, the National Police, Hospitals, and nearby neighborhoods. Traffic around the Managua area may be affected, which may cause traffic delays. The Embassy does not know specifically what areas will be affected, though some road closures are likely.

- Monitor local media for information.
- Do not attempt to drive through any large groups encountered on the street. Remain vigilant and aware of your surroundings at all times and report any security issues or incidents to the U. S. Embassy.
